Lumpini Boxing Stadium, located on Rama IV road, was established in 1956 by General Praphas Charusathien with an aim to promote and conserve the arts of Muay Thai and to train world’s champion Thai boxers from generation to generation. Later on, the contract ended, so the boxing stadium has to be moved to the Royal Thai Army Sports Centre, on Ramindra road. The new stadium is constructed in accordance with the universal standard and is envrionmental friendly. It is situated in an area of 6 rais 2 ngarns. It is a well-equipped boxing stadium with every necessary facilities for boxers and audiences and has capacity of 5,000 seats. There is also a parking lot with capacity of 300 cars.
