Touch Exhibits Museum In Honor Of Her Majesty The Queen

Founded in 2013, with the collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Ratchasuda College, Mahidol University and The Bangkok School for the Blind, Foundation for the Blind for Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand, the museum expected to mark the Birthday Anniversary of the H.M. The Queen on 12 August 2013. Uniquely designed to cater to the needs of either normally sighted people or those with visual impairment, visitors will equally enjoy the exhibition through “touching”. Visitors who are deaf will realise the beauty of Her Majesty The Queen through the imitated Ceres coin, along with the music specially composed to honour the royal grace of Her Majesty The Queen by which has been well proven to the world. In regard to viewing the exhibition, the officer will assign 2-4 visitors per session, which is divided into 2 viewing lines, in order to allow each visitor to learn about the exhibits in each base within predetermined time. Each session takes 40 minutes. All visitors will receive an audio guide to listen to descriptions of each base, which are automatically running with a notification of viewing guidelines specifying time limit for each base. Descriptions are created to be easily comprehended for everyone. Starting from understanding the direction of viewing, a visitor will be guided through the railing installed along the way. Once arrived at each base, a sign will be apparent for the visitor to touch and stop walking. The exhibition is divided into 8 bases, covering the medication and basic self-care.
