Namtok Sai Khu

Namtok Sai Khu is one of the most popular tourist attractions, located at Mu 3, Tambon Ron Thong, Amphoe Bang Sapan, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province; in other word, it is situated in the west of Petchakasem Road near Tenasserim Hills or 20 kilometers off the heart of the city. You can take Highway Route Number 3196 from Amphoe Bang Sapan to Way Pokto’s intersection, turn right, and you will see a small wooden bridge, cross the brook about 5 kilometers and Namtok Sai Khu is right in front of you.Namtok Sai Khu is a natural medium-size waterfall of which the beauty is remarkable and the water flows all the year. Each of its floors possesses unique charm. Furthermore, this spot has 3 large floors and the other ones are less and less larger. For the second, third, and fourth floors, there are shady trees for the tourist to sit back and play water. Despite its height, the most visited floors are the fourth, fifth, and sixth.The fourth floor originated the name of this waterfall “Sai Khu” as on a cliff top stand two mighty banyan trees (Sai in Thai). The trees shelter their surroundings and create the cozy atmosphere for playing water and taking a rest. Moreover, the second most beautiful floor is the fifth as it possesses large stone cliff and rivers flowing along the stones about 50 metersNot only going up to the sixth floor by climbing or crawling up the fairly steep and damp cliff but also the banyan tree’s hanging root render the floor truly unique and challenging for the adventure lovers. Climbing up is permitted but it takes extreme care for all tourists. Besides, wild animals can be seen here.
