Ko Ram Ra

Situated 300m. far from the coast in the north of Hat Ban Krut, Thongchai sub-district (between Thup Sakae district and Bang Saphan district, the island only contains a small beach along the coast. Most of island areas are dominated by rocks and generally covered by trees. The island is not so far from the coast. It is said that you can reach the island by walking or swimming during the low tide.One of the most attractive features of Ko Ram Ra is the marine ecosystem which is one of the best marine ecosystem in the Gulf of Thailand because there is a big shallow coral reef which covers a great area around the island and can be seen clearest from the aerial photography.It is also a nesting and breeding site of aquatic animals. The nature of this island is still in a very good condition.For those interested in diving, this island is one of the best options as, besides its fascinating unspoiled nature, it is tranquil and very cheap compared with other islands.
