Thung Bua Daeng Na Bang Len Floating Market

Thung Bua Daeng Na Bang Len Floating Market

Thung Bua Daeng (red lotus Field) was an initiative of Khun Thanin Thepsurin who wanted to have a red lotus field near Bangkok for tourists to admire, so they did not have to go a long way to Udon Thani. Furthermore, he had an aim to create an attraction as one of the ways to help in the community to get income by selling products to the tourists and create jobs for the community. Occupying an area of 44 rai, the Floating Market features 2 breeds of water lilies: the original Nymphaea lotus that will blossom in the morning: hence, if tourists arrive late, they will miss seeing them and Daeng Siam Tropical Water lily (Daeng Mamio) breed that will blossom late and all day: therefore, tourists can come to see them all day. Highlighted activities of the place: -riding a boat to admire the water lilies at 100 Bath/boat (a capacity of not more than 5 people). Photography by a drone service is also offered. -Try the local Thai snack called “Miang Klib Bua” made from lotus petal. The Floating Market open daily between 9.00 a.m.-06.00 p.m.
