Wat Intra

Located in Tambon Saothonghin, Wat Intra was built in 1720. In its ubosot, there is the main Buddha image in an attitude of subduing Mara, made of made of red sandstone.

The style of this Buddha image is believed to be an arts from around the end of Ayutthaya Kingdom. Overall, the neatness reflected on the Buddha image, and also on the architecture, reflects how craftsmen in this area were really high-skilled experts. Wat Intra is also known for having a great preacher like Luang Pho Pichai Panthyaro.
