Wat Suttawas Vipassana

Wat Suttawas Vipassana is located in Ban Ta Pang Clone, Moo 4, Tambon Lat Bua Luang, Amphoe Lat Bua Luang, Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya Province. When the temple was built in 1922, it was first named ‘Ta Pang Clone’ after its location. Wat Suttawas Vipassana is home to a part of the sacred relics of Buddha, which was given to the temple by Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara Somdet Phra Sangharaja Sakalamahasanghaparinayaka. The temple is a renowned dharma retreat in Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya. There are instructors who have the expertise in meditation available for interested visitors. The section of chants and prayers is held at 4.09 pm every Sunday, while meditation practice is ran on the last Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each month throughout the year. Even though Wat Suttawas Vipassana is not an ancient archeological site like other attractions in Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya Province, it plays a significant role in helping propagate Buddhism among the general public.
