Pasakcholasit Aquarium

Pasakcholasit Reservoir has got its own Aquarium located at Nong-Bua sub-district, Pattana-Nikom in Lopburi. It is located within Pasakcholasit Reservoir and has just recently completed its construction in 2011. The main objective is for peoples’ leisure and an attraction for visitors. Additionally, the aquarium is also an educational site for students and those of interest.This aquarium is one of the many attractions within the reservoir area, which is popular among visitors. You would be enjoying the huge assortments of fish swimming around in a large tank along the 2 sides of the walkway. At the aquarium the fish are mostly fresh water which could be found in the deltas of Pasakcholasit or at the Chao Praya basin especially the larger sized ones such as Pla tepaa, Pla Kra-hoe, Pla Yisok Thai as well as fish which are rarely found like the Kittipong Stingray which is only locally found, is also available for exploration here.Directions: From Lopburi City take route Lopburi -Koktoom -Pattana-Nikom (Highway 3017) for 48 kilometers, which will bring you to Pasakcholasit Reservoir. Alternatively, taking public pickup trucks (Rod Song Taew) is also possible; take route Lopburi-Wang Muang where these trucks would travel pass Pasakcholasit Reservoir.
