Wat Nong Tao

It is located in Tambon Nong Tao. The interesting thing about this place is that the Ubosod is on the turtle sculpture is the symbol of Tambon Nong Tao. King Rama IX ordered to put Chor Fah on the top of Ubosod on 11 March 1947. The Temple is on Sai Leap Klong Chonlapatan Road, 11 kilometers away from Amphoe Muang.

Whenever you have a chance to take the train pass by Nong Tao station, you will get to see the Ubosot that has roof covered with golden tile by Monk Luang Pu Bun Liang Suchato, abbot of this Temple. He remind of Buddha as turtle (incarnation) in the deep sea. Therefore, he built Ubosot on the turtle sculpture. It took 16 years to finish the Ubosod (1958-1974). The Ubosod has become symbol of Mu Ban Talat nong Tao. The unique Ubosot draw a lot of attention from tourists.
