It is assumed that it was built during Ayutthaya period. There is the Temple museum inside which consists of King Rama V statue, Luang Por Puean and every former abbots’ statues.

In the past, Wat Klang Ta Kam used to be the center of water transportation. It is assumed that the Temple was built in Ayutthaya period. There is ancient Ubosod where the Sitting Buddha is. This temple well keeps monk’s tools of King Rama V when he was monk. The king gave his monk’s tools to abbot of the temple when he spent a night there.
