Suphan Buri Pest Management Center

Run under Office of Agricultural Extension and Development Region 2, Ratchaburi, Suphan Buri Pest Management Center was established on January 2, 2001. It is located at 2 Mu 2, Ban Don Huai Khap, Tambon Plubplachai, Amphoe U Thong, Suphan Buri Province Suphan Buri Pest Management Center consists of many building: administration building, training building, dormitory, canteen and recreation center, beneficial insects’ food production house, beneficial insects rearing house, beneficial fungi reproduction house, and officers and employers’ dorm.The center promotes and teaches the use of biological pest control, for example, using beneficial insects, herbs, micro-organisms to farmers. Inside the center are interesting sites such as beneficial insects rearing house, hydroponic greenhouse, and organic demonstration garden. The construction of the center was made possible by H.E. Banharn Silpa-archa and Mr. Pramote Raksarach, the former director of Department of Agricultural Extension, along with Mr. Noppadol Martsri provided the 194-rai land for constructing the center. Tourists can go to Suphan Buri Pest Management Center via U Thong-Dan Sai road. After 6 kilometers of driving, turn left at the sugar refinery and cross the bridge before turning right and drive along the canal for 10 kilometers. The center will be on the left side.Suphan Buri Pest Management Center opens from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. everyday.
