Wat Paphruek Fish Sanctuary

Located inside a temple, this fish sanctuary is home to large schools of indigenous fish, including the Nile tilapia, the beautiful iridescent shark-catfish, and the black-eared catfish. A 100-meter footpath lines the river, allowing visitors to feed the fish or enjoy graceful animals up close.The temple and fish sanctuary is located in Tambon Ban Laem, 17 kilometers from downtown. To get there, take Highway 340 until kilometer 86 then turn onto Highway 3351 for 10 kilometers. They are open daily from 6.00 am-5.00 pm.
