Taweechai Elephant Camp

Taweechai Elephant Camp is located at 14/1 Moo.6 Chongsadao Sub-District, Muang District, Kanchanaburi Province. The camp is about 30 minutes from the city by using Ladya-Srisawat Road, the Public Highway No. 3199, and 3457. Mr. Tawee Longsakul or Bangtu, 71 years old, is the camp owner. There are 40 elephants in the camp. This is the big camp that meets the standard and has been selected as the filming location of Thai and foreign film production companies. It is one of interesting tourist attractions of Kanchanaburi Province. Many activities are provided such as:-Riding elephants and sightseeing: appreciate forest and visit elephant rider village and Kwae Yai River.-Rafting on a bamboo raft: see the beauty of nature at Kwae River and various kinds of birds on the river bank.-Relax in the evening with “Taking a Bath with Elephants Program”: learn elephants’ way of living and enjoy dinner and barbecue at the riverbank. Ride elephants at night and look at bright stars in the sky.-Camping on 60-rai-area: Walking rally and other recreation activities can be arranged here (Buffet at the riverbank is provided.)On 13 March of every year, Taweechai Elephant Camp will provide a buffet for elephants due to Thai Elephant Day.
