His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary Bueng Boraphet AquariumHis Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary Bueng Boraphet Aquarium was established on 5 December 2007 in Bueng Boraphet Tourist Information Center, Kwai Yai Sub-District, Muang Nakhon Sawan District. The building is in the shape of a boat with roof that carries goods in Chao Phraya River in the past. The boat is orange and it is 35.5 meters wide and 49 meters long. The aquarium exhibits over 100 kinds of fish. There is a 105-meter tunnel on the first floor which exhibits fresh-water fish such as giant freshwater whipray, Mekong giant catfish, giant featherback, black giant gourami, red-eyed white striped catfish, Java barb, tilfoil barb, Apollo shark, and boeseman croaker. Moreover, there are a 24-meter giant tunnel in the aquarium and 33 tanks of fish around the tunnel showing rare and beautiful fish including Amblyrhynchichthys truncates, Pristolepis fasciata, archer fish, Siamese giant carp, Java barb, barbonymus altus, and redfin shark. At the touch pool, you will closely experience brownbanded bamboo shark and sea urchin. There is also a marine fish aquarium in the hall in front of the tunnel. The second floor is the hall of fame displaying the name of people who joined the foundation stone laying ceremony and fish catching equipment, aquatic plants, and beautiful fish. You can also see the view around the boat. Drive for about 20 kilometers and turn left as the sign shows. Continue driving fro 4 kilometers and you will see the sign to Bueng Boraphet.
