King Nareasuan the Great shrine

King Nareasuan the Great shrine King Nareasuan the Great shrine is situated at Wichianburi district, Phetchaboon province. The shrine is like Thai pavilion with four gables end. The King Naresuan the Great Shrine consecrates a statue celebrating a beloved Thai King who is an important party of Thai history. The King Naresuan the Great statue was built by the people of Wichian Buri to memorialize the king’s heroism in leading troops to fight against Khmer invading forces in the city. Their Majesties the King and the Queen presided over the ceremony to pay respect to the King Naresuan the Great on 25 January 1975. As a result, the District Office holds an annual celebration of the shrine on Royal Thai Armed Forces day, between January 24 and 26. To get there, take Highway No. 21 (Lom Sak -Saraburi Road) for 5 kilometers from the Wichian Buri District Office. It is located in Tambon Tharong, Amphoe Wichian Buri.The shrine is open from 6.00 am-8.00 pm daily
