Sunset viewpoint (Phahong Cave)Sunset Viewpoint (Phahong Cave) is located in Namnao National Park, Namnao District, Phetchabun. It is one of the well-known places for watching sunset. Because of the landscape which is a high mountain, this place has beautiful scenario of sunset.If you want to come to this place, go to highway number 12 (Lumsuk-Chumpae) and milestone number 39. Then, turn left for 500 metre and you will see the entrance of sunset viewpoint Phahong cave which is far from Namnao National Park 10 km. From the parking lot, there is a path to Phahong Cave. When you walk on this path for 300 metre, you will see a bamboo forest. Then, just continuing walking and you will see the cave that is not quite big. In the cave, there are Buddha images and stalactites. If you want to go to upper part of the cave, there is a stair which you can use only one by one. In the evening before sunset, you can see a lot of bats looking for food. On the left side of the cave, there is a 259-step stair to the viewpoint (about 100 metre to the top of the mountain). Behind the mountain, there is a complex stone cliff. You can see a scenario of forests and mountains making it be a perfect place to enjoy the beauty of sunset.If you want to come here from Lumsuk District, Phetchabun, you can use highway number 12 to Chumpae District. Then, go across Poh Khun Pa Meung Bridge and go straight for about 30 km. You will see a tollgate. After that, go to the milestone number 39 which is far from the national park for 10 km. Then, turn left and you will reach your destination.
