Wang Tum waterfall Located at Ban Dong Lhong, Tamblol Camp Son, Amphoe Khao Kho, Wang Tum Waterfall is a part of Khao Kho National Park. Possessing 40 meters high, the waterfall is the place for rappelling which combines the ecotourism and adventure travel together. The rappelling gear has a high safety standard and there are safety guards watching over although the activity. The rappelling is run by Khao Kho Explorer in cooperation with Ban Dong Lhong Nature Reserve Community. For those interested in rappelling, you need to turn right and walk up to the uppermost level of the fall. For those who are not, turn left and walk down to the first level. There are benches to sit on and watch people rappelling. Rappellers are required to wear a helmet, a harness, a lifebuoy and knee pads for those wearing shorts. Before rappelling, the safety guards will explain and guide about how to arrange a proper pose which are standing with feet parallel and shoulder-width apart to provide firmness, grabbing the rope at the waist with right hand to control the descending and left hand for the rope in front of the rappeller, leaning slightly backward and starting to control descent down the rock. It will be quite steep at the beginning but there will be an overhanging rock to rest for a while.Apart from rappelling, there are other activities for visitors to enjoy such as off-road trip and rock slide. Also, there is a giant pond in front of the fall which is suitable for a family holiday trip. Wang Tum Waterfall opens on Saturdays and Sundays. Four rounds each day: 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.The entrance fee is 900 Baht/person (min. 4 people). This price includes a round trip car ticket, safety gear, snack and beverage, insurance and safety guards.
