Wat Klang locates on place number 6 Moo 4, Pra Tad district, amphur Chiang Klang. From the establishment of various communities in Nan province history, this community had already settled down at Pla Gluay village. Currently, the village locates at southwest of Bann Klang’s graveyard. Later, there were many people emigrated from Nan to the village which caused stronger community. Due to this reason, there was a building of temple in the middle among many other villages. Thus, the name of temple is called ‘Wat Klang’ (‘Klang’ in English mean ‘middle’)Interesting points in this temple include1. ‘Ubosot’ (place where monks have a meeting) is built for placing the image of Buddha Sam-krasad Muchimongkoln-keamarama (Three Kings venerable monks). The image of Buddha is created from three metals that are gold, naka, and silver. His hair between eyebrows is decorated with gems and topazes showing elegance Sukothai’s art. The image of Buddha has 19 inches wide and 34 inches height.2. ‘Dust of the Buddha’: Since Pra Sopidwiriya alungkarn monk has ordained, the great-grandchild of a king name Yingnunta and Yingyai Snitwong gave the dust of the Buddha and silver cassette from the fifth Rama King. Also include the ivory, silver monk’s alms-bowl, silver enamel tray with pedestal, golden enamel tray with pedestal, and golden pagoda to him. In addition, they also gave emerald image of the Buddha that had 5 inches wide and almost 1,000 years old to him. Currently, this emerald image of the Buddha is moved to Rattanakosin Art Hall.3. ‘Prachaow Tongtip Boromasadsada Anaworayarn’ is created with bronze in mixing of Sukothai’s art and Lanna’s art. There is also a monk museum building, with the purpose of placing all ancient images of the Buddha and various antiques.4. ‘Lanna temple’ is a place where locates the images of the Buddha from Lanna’s art, ancient image of Buddha Singha one that is made from bronze, and 28 images of the Buddha that are created from various odor of Chamluk wood. There is also a conservation of temple-building skill, which is a signature of Lanna villagers. In addition, there are paintings of Hong Hin story and paintings describe the event that Nan province used to be fired.
