Wat Si U-mongkham
Wat Si U-mongkham or Wat Sung located in high hill including the pagoda and the temple also located in high base lead the overall temple looks outstanding character which let’s everyone able to see from all directions including from Khwan Phayao.In Wat Si U-mongkham, the people visit to worship Phra Chao Lan Tue and Phra Chao Kangkhom which stands in the temple, Phra Chao Lan Tue or Phra Chao Saen Sae or Luang Pho Ngam Mueang Ruengrit is the Buddha (Pang Man Wichai) with the art of Sukhothai and Phayao. And Phra Chao Kangkhom is also the Buddha in Pang Man Wichai with 1.3 meters width and 1.9 meters height, established in era of Phraya Yutthidthira who had good relationship with Phra Chao Tilokkarat of Chiangmai. Phra Chao Tilokkarat commanded to establish Pra Chao Kangkhom in Wat Si Koet, Chiangmai and then established Phra Chao Kangkhom which similar to Chiangmai to stand in Phayao. The design of pagoda behind temple is glittering gold Chiang Saen art style. That was consisted of 3 layers square base with octangle house reduced corner size. Above the house, there are 4 directions Buddhist arch strengthen into the round big bell, throne, handiwork and the summit of pagoda. Phra Chao Thanchai is the Buddha in Pang Man Wichai with 2 meters width, stand in the temple near the building of Phinitprasart School, most people believe that to worship Phra Chao Thanchai, they can ask anything they wish, it will be come true.There is another Buddha, Phra Chao Kwan in Pang Man Wichai with 1 meter width which excavated in the ancient pagoda centered Kwan Phayao. The temple was located in municipal area from Pratu Chai intersection; the traveler can use the Pratu Chai Road straight to Don Sanam Road and turn left to Phahonyothin Road for 300 meters will see the temple in right side.
