Ban Sala Huean Kham Saen is situated at 251, Mu 4, Ban Wang Luang, Wang Luang Sub-District, Nong Muang Khai, Phrae Province. Huean Kham Saen is a small gallery exhibiting various kinds of art such as elaborated Buddhist style carving of local craftsmen. The gallery came from the idea of preserving wisdom of local craftsmen and exhibiting artwork. The gallery also provides carving lesson to children and visitors. Visitors can appreciate art in the gallery. The gallery was established in 2009 by a local craftsman named Sala Ittiphol Panyafaeng as the learning center for children.Sala is the art of carving of Ban Wang Luang. It is the local wisdom that Phrae people are very proud of. The carving pieces from here are sent to domestic and international markets. The dominant work that people might not know that it is from the group called Sala Mueang Phrae is the tree-headed elephant of Wat Huai Mongkon in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. The other work from Sala Wang Luang is Huen Kham Saen, a small art gallery that Sala Wang Luang provides for people who appreciate the art of carving by local craftsmen. It is also the learning center of children and visitors who are interested in carving. The gallery is opened every day.
