Luang Pha Viang cave

Luang Pha Viang Cave is a big and popular cave of Lam Poon. It is situated at Doi Tham Luang in the area of Baan Wang Luang. There are lots of stalactites inside the cave. It is previously named Tham Luang. This is because Luang in Northern Thai language means big and the cave is located nearby Pa Viang District. Luang Pha Viang cave is a limestone cave which hides inside the mountain. The stalactites inside the cave are very beautiful and totally stunning. The cave can actually divided into 9 rooms as follows:Room 1: Larn Rommanee; full of stalactites such as Khome Phetraya, Prueksa Chamlak, Paksi Iyara, Buddha Sathan, Prakarn Pha Viang and Saliang Prathumma.Room 2: Aussanee Khodkern; full of stalactites such as Cheng Himmabharn, Lamthan Kedkaew, Waewwow Rattana.Room 3: Nernsalai NgarmtaRoom 4: Khuha Wichrit; full of stalactites such as Arsrom Ruesri, Ratri Tongmontra.Room 5: Auttayarn Hinwilai; full of stalactites such as Dheweevimarn, Manbhubha, Thara yardphetRoom 6: AunaithiptoraneeRoom 7: Chonlathee CherdjumrusRoom 8: Sombat AmmarinRoom 9: Doi DindaensawanLuang Pha Viang cave opens daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The admission fee is 10 baht. If you are traveling from Ban Hong District, take a highway number 106 and keep going straight until you pass by Baan Hong market. Keep going straight for another four kilometers and turn left when you reach at the intersection. Go across the bridge for 1.5 kilometer or you can as well take a bus Lam Poon- Pa Sang- Baan Hong-Lee line.
