Phukhao Ya (Grass Hill)

Phukhao Ya (Grass Hill) or Khao Hua Lan (Bald Hill) is located in Tambon Ngao. This hill is something of an anomaly, as it is completely treeless, being covered instead by a thick blanket of grass. From November-April the grass were dry and brown, but from May-October were green. To get there: From Mueang Ranong Municipality take highway no. 4 (the same route as Phon Rang Hot Spring) around 13 km. opposite site of Namtok Ngao National Park.
