Sathorn Golden Textile Museum

The fabric Sathorn Shop, sits on the Sawankalok-Srisajchanalai Highway, is home to the impressive Sathorn Golden Textile museum (opened in 1988) owned by the ex-broker for the old woven textiles, Sathorn Sorajprasobsanti whose collection ranges from the simple one to the delicate pattern like Teen Jok that are on display in the museum and has attracted many academicians and collectors. Many of the fabrics here were made in Ban Had Saew Village where the Tai Puan people who built their community during the reign of Rama II were known for their beautiful home-use hand-woven essentials that they passed the knowledge through many generations before the textiles became very commercial as you’ll see many shops are selling these pieces of artwork.Opening hours:7am-6:30pmhttp://www.tourismthailand.org/See-and-Do/Sights-and-attractions-Detail/Sathorn-Golden-Textile-Museum–4725
