Tawan Chai Beach Tawan Chai Beach is a large beach with coconuts trees growing along it. It is located in Moo 3, Lamae Subdistrict, Lamae District, Chumphon. Due to its peaceful and calm atmosphere, it is a perfect place to relax, explore fishermen’s lifestyle and see a sunrise. In addition, there is a night activity popular among visitors, i.e. squid fishing. At the time when the sea is full of squids, you will see more than 200 squid fishing boats, all of which are adorned with lights to attract squids. Besides, dried squid is sold at very low prices in this area. To get here by car, use Phetkasem Road. When you reach the Thung Sawan intersection, turn onto a road to Lamae. Drive past the Lamae District Office and Lamae Town. Continue driving along the road as far as Maejo University, where you have to turn left. Drive about three kilometres and you will have to turn left again. After that there will be a T-intersection where you have to turn right. Drive along the route as far as another three-way junction where you have to turn right and cross a bridge. Turn right when you reach the next intersection, drive as far as a road curve and you will arrive at your destination.
