Wat Pha Khao Khaew (Luang Phor Tang)

Wat Pha Khao Khaew (Luang Phor Tang) It is located at Moo 10, Ban Phang Mai Phattana, Tambol Phang Ta Wai, Amphoe Pang Silathong. Wat Pha Khao Kheaw is famous for belief and trust by Kham Phaengphet’s people and its neighbors. Phra Kroo Sangkarak Panyasrilachoto (Tha) or commonly known as “Luang Phor Tang” is the abbot of Wat Pha Khao Kheaw, It is believed that the abbot is a specialist in holy inscription and can cast the magic spell on measuring cup of rice. If we bring the rice for worship, the business will become prosperous. Moreover, inside of Wat Pha Khao Kheaw was established as the Thung Tuang Kao Museum (Thung Tuang Kao means a measuring cup of rice) in which there are more than 1,000 traditional and modern measuring cups of rice for getting knowledge of their evolution. Getting there, you can use Kham Phaengphet-Pang Silathong way, the distance is about 34 kilometers, once arrive at Ban Khao Nam-oun Intersection, turn right. Driving further 2 kilometers, you will see intersection which reads “Go to Ban Pang Tawai about 14 kilometers” on left hand. Both of two-side way will find Thung Tuang Kao shops along the way.
