Wat Sung Men

Wat Sung Men is located at Tambon Sung Men, Yantarakijkosol Rd., 10 kilometers away from center of Phrae. There are many invaluable antiques such as wood Buddha sculpture, Sung Men Pagoda, Tripitaka in both Pali and Thai, scripture leaves which is considered as the most complete scripture in Thailand.The temple consists of many points of interest. First, Ubosot is Lanna style and supposedly over 200 years old. The texture of Lanna and Burmese style is on the Ubosot walls. The main Buddhist image is To monk in The attitude of subduing Mara.The Sung Men Pagoda is hexagonal, contains Buddha’s relics which was from Myanmar in 1840. The Tripitaka Hall has a local Tripitaka, Dhamma scripture and Lanna literatures. This hall has Lanna literatures the most in Thailand.
