Hailumbandon Shrine

Hainanese Shrine of Ban Don enshrines the principal statue of the “Goddess Ma-zu” or “Goddess Tian-Hou”. On the right of Mazu statue, there is a statue of “Guandi” or “Guan Yu”, a god who is widely worshipped by Hainanese people; and statues of the 108 Chinese god are found on the left. Significantly, this Hainanese shrine is considered as the center of Hainanese people living in Surat Thani. Furthermore, swifts have built nests inside the building which becomes an addition income of the shrine.
