The House of Faith is the house which the Songkla people together built for His Excellency General PremTinsulanondawho wasthe Head Privy Council of the King of Thailand, BhumibolAdulyadej and the statesman when he was the Prime Minister of Thailand. It was completely established on 26th August, 2534 B.E., later, he gave the house of faith back to the Songkla people in 2539 B.E. Moreover, The Songkla officers also built the Golden Jubilee Library at the foothill near the house of faith and opened it as the learning resource. The house of faith is located at the foothill surrounded by coconut orchard where you can view the scenery of Tinsulanonda Bridge which is about 3 kilometers away. You can see the panoramic view of the Lake of Songkla and Yo Island.The history of the Golden Jubilee LibrarySince the 2539 B.E. is the greatly auspicious year which is the fiftieth Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty’s Accession to the Throne. It is the period of accession to the throne which is longer than that of any other kings in the past, Thais were very much obliged to His Majesty the King and the greatly determination of His Excellency General PremTinsulanonda, the Head Privy Council of the King of Thailand, BhumibolAdulyadej and the statesman who greatly determined that “he was born and has to repay a debt of his country”, he wanted to build the library as the memorial monument in the occasion of the fiftieth Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty’s Accession to the Throne. By building the library at Songkla Province to facilitate education for the local people which is the hometown. The General PremTinsulanonda Statesman Foundation put the budget of 40 million and one hundred thousand Baht along with gave the 5 Rais 2 Ngaans and 23 tarangwas of land to the Fine Art Department for construction. of His Excellency General PremTinsulanonda, the Head Privy Council of the King of Thailand, BhumibolAdulyadej and the statesman served as the presiding of the ceremony of laying the foundation stone on 12th April 2538 B.E. at 3.19 p.m. and the library was officially opened since 19th March, 2540 B.E. and was given the Royal Permission to be named “the Golden Jubilee Library of Songkla Province”.
