Khao Ruesi

Khao Ruesi : This mountain is situated at Mu 2, Tambon Mayo, about 3 kilometres from Mayo. The highlight of this mount is a natural rocky formation. Visitors will also find a 2 cubit wide and 5 cubit deep pond containing so-called holy water previously used in royal coronation ceremonies. An ordination hall was built to cover this pond. In addition, there is a temple called Wat Khao Ruesi Plaeng San, which is worshipped by the people of Pattani and nearby provinces.
