Namtok Buke Pilo or Namtok Tawan Ratsami is a natural tourist location in Yala. The topography here is an alternating mountains which are mostly soil mountains and rock mountains. Most of the rocks are igneous rocks and big pebbles. The forest is mostly covered with tropical rain forest and is the origin of many rivers such as Pattani River. Namtok Buke Pilo or Namtok Tawan Ratsami derived its name by the beauty it possesses when the sunlight shines on the water, the colour of the underwater rocks in the pool turn yellow. Moreover, in the ancient time, this waterfall was once a vacation destination of the Raman King. The tourists can swim in the waterfall everyday since 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, they must be careful since there are lots of mosses here which make the rock slippy. It is around 19 kilometers away from the Yala city. Follow the Yala- Kotabaru route and turn to TambolKotabaru to Tambol Ta Rue for around 2 kilometers then turn to the village for around 2 kilometers then you will arrive at the waterfall. Then, go straight for 500 meters.
