Than Plio Waterfall

Tarn Plew waterfall has a water source from Loong TroeMountain. It is located in both Trungand Satun provinces; the location is on Moo 7, Thung Wasub-district, Thung Wadistrict and is 10 kilometers away from the District Office. If starting the route from Thung Wacity center and go along highway number 416 on Thung Wa-Palianroute for about 5 kilometers called “Chong Din Pook.” It is the area that has steep road cutting through the mountain slope. Turn right on the crossroad that has a direct road to Moo Baan RaoPla. This road will pass through Tan Plew Waterfall before reaching to Baan Rao Pla. The distance from the crossroad to the waterfall is around 5 kilometers. The road is pavedalmost all the way, except on the waterfall entrance for 2 kilometers that is still dirt road. Tarn Plew Waterfall was made from the water source on the top of the mountain that splash out and created 2 levels of the water pool. The top level has a width of 40 meters and length of 50 meters. Water falls from the top to a larger bottom water pool, and then combines the flow to a stream. The beauty of Tarn Plew Waterfall is the not so steep waterfall level that flows down, the shady forest with various species of plants. Therefore, it is one of a good tourist attraction, especially seasonal period, there are many tourists visiting. Also, near the waterfall, there is Wat Tham Khiri Wonglocated, which is a well-knowndhamma retreat place.
