Wat Chanatipchalerm

WatChanatipchalerm or WatMambang is considered as the first temple in Satul. The temple is located on the bank of Mambang Canal, Sullakanukul Road, TambolPiman, AmphurMuangSatul, Satul.WatChanatipchalerm was originally called WatMambang. It was built in 1882. Most of the people in this province are Muslim, therefore this temple is compared like the center of the Buddhism in Satul province for more than 100 years.The ubosot here is not like the ubosot of other temples since it is a 2 level ubosot; on the 1st level it was built with plaster work and on the 2nd level it was built with wood. In front of the ubosot, there is a terrace with 2 stairs on both sides.The 2nd level ubosot was built in 1930 in order for monks to perform rituals. On the other hand, the 1st level is used as a sermon hall in a monastery. At present, it was renovated and only the foundation of the ubosot and the pillar that were the ancient remains.WatChanatipchalerm is declared as a nature preservation center. Nowadays, the Tetsabarn 2 School is next to the temple and surrounded by 3 canals; Mambang Canal, Senten Canal and Tayai Canal.
