This conservation area covers nearly 60,000 acres of sandstone mountains, undulating hills, and evergreen and deciduous forests. Wildlife found in this area includes boars, barking deer, foxes, monkeys, squirrels, and more. Pha Phu Thai, a cliff, is the perfect spot from which to observe the sun rise; meanwhile, another cliff, Pha Mok Mi Wai, is a beautiful sunset-gazing venue.Nature trails of a comfortable distance of 2-3 kilometers are available for short hikes. The park provides accommodation and camping areas for those who wish to stay overnight. Reservations should be made in advance in written form to the Head of the Northeastern Literature Botanical Garden, Pha nam Thip Non-hunting Area, P.O. Box 1, Tambon Bueng Ngam, Amphoe Nong Phok, Roi Et 45210.To get there, from Bangkok to Khon Kaen, take Highway No. 2, the Khon Kaen-Nong Phok route. Then take Highway No. 209 and 2116 from Nong Phok to Ban Tha Sa-at, for 9 kilometers. Turn left from Ban Tha Sa-at and drive for 13 kilometers to the Office of the Pha Nam Thip Non-hunting Area.
