Wang Thalu

Wang Thalu

Located only 3 kilometres from the Ban Ta Klang Elephant Village, this place is a convergence of the Chi and Mun Rivers before running into the Mekong River in Ubon Ratchathani. In the past, it was a ritual site of “Buat Nak Chang” ceremony of the Ta Klang villagers and neighboring villages. Today, this place is no longer used for making that ritual; however, it is still abundant and has biodiversity including being a place for elephants of this village bathing in the evening in the river surrounded with the extensive forest which creates rare beautiful scenery.
