Huay Lao Waterfall National Park

Declared as a national forest park on September 1, 1997. This park is covered an area of 2,125 rai, about 200-800 metres above sea level. The steep mountains are consisted of limestone and shale. The forest is a mixed deciduous forest with red ebony, lemongrass, bamboo, and fern, and also a source of streams. There are 3 major creek streams, namely, Huay Kaew, Huay Lao and Huay Pa Lai. The water flows throughout the year. The main attractions in the park are include the waterfalls from the mountains, where the water of Huai Lao waterfall flows down to the hillside, 800 metres long, with these waters flowing throughout the year and a source of water flowing into several streams which can be used in a local agricultural sector. The nearby Huai Lao Waterfall is a beautiful limestone waterfall. The river is a tributary of Loh Luang, a tributary of the Loei River. The stream flows down from the cave falls about 15 metres high through the rocks for a distance of about 1 kilometre, cascading down to 10 floors, each floor has a beautiful difference by the 9th floor. The most beautiful way to walk from the parking lot along the lagoon and separate to visit various waterfalls, tourists can go to the water on every floor. The first floor is about 300 metres from the parking lot. The Forest Park hosts a tent with a toilet because there is no home. Visitors must prepare their own meals.
