Huayyang Reservoir

Huayyang Reservoir is located in moo.8, BanKokrad, Tuprad sub-district, Tapraya district, Srakaew. It is far from Meaung district for about 100km.Huayyang is a large recervoir with 17-metre tall, 8-metre width and 3,200-metre length. It covers area around 9,600 rai. About the landscape, almost all of areas around this reservoir are dense forests. Other places are forests, rice fields and mountains. The north of this place is near Prannuch Mountain, Sagaegrong Mountain and Wong mountain. The south side is near Kunna Mountain. The west is near Talai mountain and Huayshan mountain.Royal Irrigation Department launched this project in 13 May B.E.2529 so that Srakaew citizen in Tapraya district will have water for agriculture and consumption.If you want to come to this place, use highway number 33 from Srakaew to Arunyaprated district. Then, turn left to Tapraya district for about 37 km. When you see Bangudtoei, go straight for 10 km. Then, turn left and go this way approximately 3 km. You will reach your destination.The benefit of this reservoir is that it can be used for agriculture and consumption. Moreover, it can be a fresh water fish breeding center and it also helps prevent flood.Nowadays, Huayyang is a tourist attraction for people in Tapraya and nearby districts. In addition, it is a good place for families to come eating in restaurants around the reservoir.
