Kaosamsip Reservoir

Kaosamsip Reservoir is located in Moo.10, Tambon Kaosamsip, Amphoe Kaochagun, Sa kaeo. If you want to come here, you can use highway number 317. When you see milestone number 137-138, turn left for about 10 km. and you will reach your destination.This reservoir is under Bankaosamsip Royal Development Project. An office is near the reservoir. About the landscape, there is a plain surrounding by mountains. It has beautiful scenario around here which is worth visiting. Regarding the forests, there are 2 types of forests which are dry evergreen forest and mixed deciduous forest. People can come to study trees and animals in this area.There are a lot of interesting activities for you to do when you come here. First is forest trekking. It has 3 routes for tourists to choose. Each route will have an officer and an experienced villager guide you. Along the way, you will see several types of plants such as Iron wood, Burmese Rosewood, Afzelia xylocarpa (Kurz) Craib and Wild Almond etc. You can also see many animals such as wild pigs, red junglefowl, atherurus macrourus, mouse deer, mongoose etc. Moreover, because of the fertility, this is a perfect place for bird-lovers. Therefore, besides forest trekking, watching birds is another well-known activity. At night, if that day has a clear sky, you can watch thousands of stars here.
