In 1980, Somdet (Her Royal) Ampaiporranee went to grow trees at this beach, so people call the beach “Laem Sadet Beach” for their fortune. It is a long beautiful crescent-shaped beach with white fined sand. It has a length of about 2-3 kilometers with pine trees standing all along the beach. From November to April, the wind is calm and suitable for playing in the sea. In the monsoon season, the sea will be turbid and the wind will be strong. The 76th Province Auspicious Botanical Garden, not far from the beach, is covered with the beach forest. There is a walking way to learn more about nature and various interesting plants such as, Red Samet, Orange Java Plum, and Forrest Copperpod, etc.Not far from Laem Sadet, there is The Sixth Cycle Birthday Anniversary Celebration Aquarium where the fishes at Kung Graben Harbor is exhibited such as groupers, butterflyfishes, angelfishes, sea basses, etc. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 8.30-16.30. One of their Projects is “The Kung Graben Mangrove Educational Bridge” which is located opposite to the center. It takes only 30-45 minutes on the 1600-meter environment educational walk way. It has various checkpoints including natural food sources, Herb sources for communities around the area. This project made people interest in nature and understand ecosystem of mangroves. Go along the Ta Mai-Ban Moo Dood route which is a calm, beautiful, refreshing beach with varieties of sea pine trees and beach trees. Suitable for campings. The Royal Forrest Department also provide renting tents for 80-120 Baht/ 2-4 person /night. If you bring tents you still have to pay for the area for 20 baht/person per night.
