It is 15.50 metres wide on each side, and 3.5 metres high, with four porches. The porch on the north has the trace inciting that a pillar was situated there. Historians believe that it used to be the pillar of a staircase leading to the monument. On the monument, the trace of a pillar assumed to have been of a building with wooden roof and a round laterite stone, bowl shape carved with 1 metre in diametre, was found. King Rama X paid a royal visit to this monument in 1908. He made an assumption that the round stone on the building was probably a base of a graven image which has been studied archeologically later many times. Some parts, for example, the left hand which was probably King Narai’s image’s, was found. It is in accordance with King Rama X’s assumption that the monument used to be a Hindu’s sacred place dating between the 12th and the 14th centuries B.E.The ancient ruins look like other typical ruins but each little brick has a long and rich art and cultural history in which nothing could be replaced.
