Pla Kat Thai museum (Siamese Fighting Fish Gallery) located in Soi Wat Ratrangsan, Bang Kachao, Phra Pra Daeng district, Samut Prakan with abundant trees in a pig stomach shape is a museum established for supporting the ecological tourism in form of “Life Learning Center”. This museum will be a favorite place for many visitors especially for fighting fish lovers as many fighting fish are displayed here such as Bettar fighting fish, Pla fighting fish, Bestplakad Betta fighting fish and many more. Also, there is a video showing the history of Thailand. Not only the museum display the fighting fish, other species including fish in Chao Phraya River like featherback fish and Tapian fish also are exhibited here. Other exhibitions include Applied Thai house architecture where 2 kings used to stay, the idea for adjusting landscape to the existing environment as a museum concerning the nature, tri-cycle car which is the symbol of Phra Pra Daeng city and the natural trail for tourists to experience the beauty of nature in the area named “best urban oasis” by TIME magazine. To visit, if travelling by a personal car, continue on Petchahung Road for 6 kilometres and then drive in Soi Petchahung 33. Continue for another 3 kilometres, you will reach the destination or catch a ferry boat from the pier at Wat Khlong Toei Nok. Then walk on for another 500 metres and turn left at the intersection. Another way is to take the bus Phra Pra Daeng-Bang Gorbua and get off at Soi Petchahung 33. Then take the motorcycle service.
