Shell Fossil Museum

This museum features shell fossils from the Jurassic era, dating back to 140-150 million years ago. A number of bivalve fossils in good condition are on display. These fossils are found in 50-meter-high cliffs on nearby mountains. In addition, nearby, 60 dinosaur fossils were found in layers of siltstone, above layers where fossils of shells and ancient crocodiles were found. To get there, motorists should take Highway No. 210 (Nong Bua Lam Phu -Udon Thani). The museum is located in Huai Duea Village, Tambon Non Than, at Km. 88.5 on the left. Tourist can also take the Nong Bua Lam Phu -Udon Thani bus service.
