Wat Pa Klang Thung

Situated in Tambol Bangkayaeng, the internal wall of the church depitcts the life of Buddha.

Wat Pa Klang Thung is actually a combination of Wat Klang Thung and Wat Pa Tai. It is estimated to be built in 1842. The churchhall is simply built with ornaments of Narai riding the Erawan Elephant and porcelains arranged into flowers, which is a popular style during the reign of King Rama III. The gate is painted with agnels and the entrace is decorated with sculptures. It is speculated that the church contains the ashes of the builder of this temple. The internal walls of the churchhall containts paintings on Buddha’s life, the left-side walls depicts His followers. The red walls painted with falling flowers is considered an art treasure of Pathum Thani Province.
