Wat Khian

It is an ancient Temple located at Mu 8, Tambon Sanchao Rong Thong, near Wat Wiset Chai Chan, which is 12 kilometers from Amphoe Mueang.

Exquisite murals featuring stories of the 10 former incarnations of the Lord Buddha decorate the walls of this Temple’s ordination hall, or Ubosot. The beautiful paintings are attributed to an art school in Mueang Wiset Chai Chan, painted during the late Ayutthaya period. The murals share many characteristics with other paintings made during the same era, such as those inside the Ubosots of Wat Ko and Wat Yai Suwannaram (in Phetchaburi). The ancient temple is located at Mu 8, Tambon Sanchao Rong Thong, near Wat Wiset Chai Chan, which is 12 kilometers from Amphoe Mueang.
