Khao Sam Lan National Park

The Namtok Sam Lan national park, also known as Khao Sam Lan National Park, covers 4 districts: Mueang, KaengKhoi, NongKhae, and WihanDaeng. Sprawling over an expansive 44 square kilometers, park comprises many small and large mountains, along with a flat-bottomed valley.Waterfalls in the park such as Namtok Sam Lan, a three-tiered cascade, located 300 meters from the national park headquarters. Other waterfalls are smaller, and are walking distance from the headquarters, often providing restful swimming spots for visitors looking for relaxation. The waterfalls are best enjoyed between July and October. A small reservoir provides venues for kayaking, swimming and boating. Moreover, the World War II Memorial of the Japanese Army, located 2 kilometers from the park office, features remnants of Japanese soldiers’ encampment: trenches, a command room, a treasure room and bunker lines. Three nature study routes offer visitors a closer look at the environment.The park is located on the Bangkok-Saraburi Road, on Highway No. 1, Phahonyothin Road, approximately 16 kilometers south of Saraburi. Departing from Bangkok, turn right to make a U-turn before reaching Km. 102, continuing onto Highway No. 3042 and then 3046. Continue on the asphalt road for 8 kilometers.Admission fee is 100 bath for adults and 50 bath for chrildrent.
