Science Center And Planetarium Chainat Bird Park

It was established in B.E.2551. The newly built Science Center and Planetarium is served as a scientific learning center for students and general public about Astronomy, Science, and Geography. The exhibition has the Planetarium (40 seats) including the sky simulator. Aspects of the universe and 3-D movies are projected onto a domed ceiling which the visitors have to use Polaroid glasses. It will give you a feeling as if it’s real. The building has the sundial equatorial which the motion of the sun across the sky produces a complementary motion of shadows. This science center is a new style of learning system which make studying Astronomy become more interesting and approachable for students.The building is separated into 8 zones. Which shows the different exhibits.Zone One. Thai Astronomy. Which show the remarkable talent of Phra Bat Somdet Phra Poramenthra Maha Mongkut Phra Chom Klao Chao Yu Hua or “The Father of Science”Zone Two. The solar system and the zodiac. A learning zone about the originate of the galaxy, Solar Nebula, and the planets in the galaxy.Zone Three. Constellation.Zone Four. The moon, comet, and meteor.Zone Five. Telescope.Zone Six. Atmosphere. The moon. Space vehicles.Zone Seven. Having fun with Q-A about Astronomy.Zone Eight.
