Huoy Nam Nug hot spring

Huoy Nam Nug hot spring Huoy Nam Nug hot spring is located at Huoy Nam Nug village, Pob Pra district, Tag province about 130 kilometers far from the center. It is a large hot spring, with 4 meters diameter and 2 meters depth. The hot spring water contains no sulfur, making it safe to be consumed. Numerous trees and bushes grow around the spring. There are hot spring bath services, public rest-house, and rest rooms provided. What is special about the hot spring is that when sound is produced nearby, bubbles will appear in the spring. The more sound is produced, the more bubbles there will be. Huoy Nam Nug hot spring comprises of 3 different hot springs. He most prominent sub-spring is right at the front of the area, while the 2nd sub-springs, which is the smallest one is located further inside, and the 3rd spring, which the largest one and is often called Bor Chang (Elephant pond) by the locals is on the top of a high mountain, far from the first sub-spring 100 meters. Visitors can reach the 3rd sub-spring by traveling 2.5 kilometers upward the mountain. Currently, Tipwarinwattana Company has permission from the spring’s officials to construct a pipe system to collect mineral water from the 3rd sub-spring for bottling and selling. Because of the its promising potential, Huoy Nam Nug hot spring has been extensively developed to be one of Pob Pra sub district’s best tourist attractions. Pob Pra Subdistrict Administrative Organization has allocated roughly 14 million baht to reform the terrain and build facilities to promote the hot spring as “Taag’s Onzen” to be the place of great relaxation and travel. Recently, Taag province and Pob Pa sub-district has co-operated with Taag’s branch of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Pa Chaoen Fall national park, Pob Pa sub-district governing office and other associates to officially open the renovated Huoy Nam Nug hot spring in 15 November 2013.How to go there? Drive along the 1206 Pob Pra-Baan Chong Cab highway (the same route to Pa Charuen waterfall). There will be a junction right before entering Pob Pra district. Turn left and drive until you reach Huoy Nam Nug village.
