Bo Nam Rae Bo Nam RonBo Nam Rae Bo Nam Ron (Mineral hot spring) is located in Ban Pong Ron, Mai Phatthana Sub-district, Ko Kha District, Lampang Province. It is 12 kilometers from the city center of Ko Kha along Ko Kha- Hang Chat road. The distinction of hot spring is its high temperature which can boil eggs.The mouth of a hot spring in Ko Kha District has a lot of minerals rising up from underground. The highest temperature is 70 degrees Celsius so the tourists can bring some eggs to boil and eat there. Importantly, this hot spring does not even have a little smell of sulphur.Formerly, this hot spring did not receive so much attention. The area around it was once a field. Later, the local people and some agencies co-operated to develop it into hot spring with private mineral bathroom, shared mineral spring, mineral bath, egg-boiling point, and mineral water pipeline system into bottle. They also distributed hot mineral water to many villages so that the people in the village could make use of the mineral water completely, proportionately, and hygienically. This mineral hot spring is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The mineral bathroom costs 40 baht per room with the capacity of 3 people.There are the villagers’ shops at the front, especially those that sell boiled eggs from this hot spring. Since the temperature is not so high, the villagers say that it takes more than 1 hour to make the eggs boiled. Boiled eggs in mineral water here have no smell of sulphur so we can enjoy eating them without worrying about the smell of sulphur. Each of boiled eggs in mineral water costs 6-8 baht.Bo Nam Rae Bo Nam Ron at Ko Kha is a nice place for relaxing with the combination of morning fog and warm mineral water. There are boiled eggs in mineral water for the visitors to taste. This hot spring is, therefore, a perfect place for those who love to take care of their health.
