Heo Lom Waterfall
Namtok Heo Lom (Heo Lom waterfall) is located at Ban Bok Fai, Mu 3, Tambon Pak Song, in Kuan Yai Mon Wildlife Sanctuary area. There is a 200-metre long trek from Heo Lom Conservation Unit, past Phato canal and a waterfall which surrounded by different kinds of tropical rain forest plants where is suitable for bird watching and trekking.The large Heo Lom Waterfall has 2 levels. The second is so fantastic with 25 meters width. Water falls into many granite rock below and then into Lang Suan River. The most suitable vehicle to be used is 4-wheel drive. From Heo Lome Forest Guard Unit, there is a trek for 500 metres, pass the origin of Phato Canal, and fertile evergreen forest. The waterfall is more than 80 metres high, surrounded by various kinds of trees. It is a venue for relaxation, trekking for natural study, and bird sanctuary.Visitors who want to visit this waterfall can take Highway No. 4 until reached Wang Takor junction. Take a right turn and go along Highway No. 4006 (Lang Suan-Rat Cha Kroot), through Amphoe Phato and take a left turn at Km. 11 for another 8 kilometers.For more information, tel. 579-9446, 579-8273
