Royal Initiated Project

Royal Initiated Project is located on Bang Bert Beach, Ban Nam Phu. This land is belongs to King Rama IX. It was organized in 1998 by the royal intention to use this place as the eco-system classroom and researching lab to develop the villager’s knowledge in earning for their living. This project’s area is located next to the seashore, consists of the sanddune area of 3.2 square kilometres with 10 kilometres long. The top of this dune is 30 metres high from the sea level. Behind the sand dune, there are more than 160 kinds of rare plants from peat swamp forests, beach forests, tropical rain forests and dry evergreen forests.
