Wat Phra Bat Huay Tom Wat Phra Bat Huay Tom is located at Moo 8, Tambol Na Sai, Amphoe Lhee, Lamphun. Regarded as the biggest temple in Lhee, it is also the most important temple in Phra Bat Huay Tom Karen’s village.The fine architecture of the temple comes from the development by a well-known monk named KrubaChaiyaWongsaPattana. He led the renovation and had many new buildings constructed in the compound. It can be said that the temple owes him a great deal. Wat Phra Bat Huay Tom is another temple in Lamphun that houses the footprint of Lord Buddha. It is housed inside the vihara which KrubaChaiyaWongsaPattana had it constructed. The temple is flocked by tourists coming to visit the footprint everyday. Apart from the vihara, the temple also has many interesting attractions, for example, Vihara Phra Mueng Keaw in which the body of KrubaChaiyaWongsaPattana lies; the pagoda called 84,000 Phra Dharma Khan, a gigantic golden pagoda which is surrounded by 8 small pagodas; Mondop Phra Chao Kao Teu which house a bronze Buddha image in the attitude of subduing Mara; and Mondop Phra Buddhabat Kop which house the footprint of Lord Buddha on the frog-like stone.Near the temple compound is Phra Maha That Chedi Sri Vieng Chai, the mock pagoda of Shwedagon Pagoda in Myanmar, also constructed due to the order of KrubaChaiyaWongsaPattana. It is another popular destination among visitors.Visitors can visit the temple via Highway No. 106. When reaching the 46th-47th kilometer, turn at the junction and go further for about 5 kilometers.
